well I suppose it was always going to happen. With the number of recorded burglaries up by 4% we're now into a
'Credit Crunch Crime Wave'. Given that only about 40% of burglary is recorded by the police, one would expect such figures to be taken with a pinch of salt whether they go up or down. Perhaps we (or our media) just naturally plump for a boom or bust, all or nothing view of the world.
